I’m Back and Ready for Weddings

Weddings Again with a Lake Macquarie Marriage Celebrant

It has been a little while since I last wrote a blog here.

The last few years have been wonderfully busy. I have spent a great deal of time working in schools, supporting children and families, and building The Nook Learning Studio from the ground up. It has been exciting, meaningful and, at times, completely all-consuming.

But as a Lake Macquarie marriage celebrant, I'm delighted to be back creating warm, meaningful and personal ceremonies. Weddings have never stopped being one of my great loves. It is so very special to be invited into such an important part of a couple’s life. I love hearing how people met, what makes them laugh, the little things they adore about each other, and the stories their friends and families already know by heart.

I love taking all of that and turning it into a ceremony that feels natural, personal and completely theirs with a bit of my northern cheek thrown in.

A wedding ceremony should sound like the couple standing in front of me.

It might be romantic and heartfelt. It might be relaxed and funny. It might be small and simple, or a great big celebration surrounded by everyone they love. There is no single right way to get married, and I genuinely enjoy helping couples create something that suits them rather than following a tired old formula.

After several busy years focusing much of my energy on education and The Nook, I am now turning my attention back towards my celebrancy work, and I could not be more excited about it.

I feel as passionate about weddings as I did when I first became a celebrant, but I also bring even more life experience, confidence, calmness and understanding with me now.

Working with children, families and people from all walks of life has only strengthened the skills I bring to a ceremony, listening carefully, putting people at ease, staying calm when plans change, reading the room and making sure everyone feels comfortable and included.

I know that planning a wedding can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are so many choices, so many opinions and so many things to organise.

Your ceremony does not need to be another source of stress.

My role is to guide you through the legal requirements, help you work out what you actually want, and create a ceremony that feels easy, meaningful and enjoyable from beginning to end.

Whether you are planning a wedding in Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, the Hunter Valley or somewhere a little further afield, I would love to hear what you have in mind.

Perhaps you are planning an intimate midweek ceremony, a relaxed garden wedding, a beautiful Hunter Valley celebration, a joyful LGBTQ+ wedding, or something wonderfully unconventional.

Whatever your plans, I am very happy to be back talking about love stories, ceremonies and weddings again.

And I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Amy x
