Terms of Service

I will provide the following terms of service:

I will provide the couple with the right information and guidance to enable them to choose and compose a ceremony that will meet their unique needs and expectations.

I will ensure that my personal presentation is of an appropriate standard for the ceremony, if that’s in fancy dress then that’s fine with me.

I will facilitate a private and comfortable space to interview clients with a free initial interview either in person, via phone, email or facetime.

 I will facilitate a full meeting to discuss ceremony requirements, this can take as long as the couple needs, there’s no time limit on creativity!

 We can hold a further meeting if needed for finalisation of the ceremony.

 You can send me as many emails, phone calls or SMS messages it takes to get your day perfect.

I will complete and lodge all of the legal documents so there’s no worries on your part.

I will compose the ceremony on your behalf or assist you to pen your own.

We can hold a rehearsal if you’d like either in person or by facetime/zoom either just with you the couple or with your full bridal party.

The wedding ceremony will be conducted by myself.

I will assist the couple to complete the Notice of Intended Marriage document.  This it needs to be completed a minimum one month prior to the big day with sighted proof your date and place of birth, your name ID and any other required documentation, prior to the wedding ceremony.

I will assist the couple in completing the Declaration of no legal impediment to marriage – This is to be given to me, the celebrant, at least one week prior to wedding.

I will provide the wireless PA system.

You, the couple will need to arrange any necessary council permits for the wedding ceremony.

The first 50km of travel to and from the ceremony is included in the fee with travel over 50km from Windermere Park an additional cost of $0.80 per km. 

Any basic air travel expenses and or accommodation costs are payable by the couple within reason.

 

Privacy and Confidentiality.

My Privacy Policy sets out how I collect, use and disclose your personal information and complies with the Australian Privacy Principles set out under the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012 which amends the Privacy Act 1988 in accordance with the Code of Practice for Marriage Celebrants.

I am fully committed to lawfully and respectfully handling your details and I will only collect personal information relevant to the solemnisation of your marriage.

 This information will not be passed on to any third party without your express permission or where required by law, (to the registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages for example, or to another celebrant in the event of them being needed in an emergency).

The kinds of personal information I may collect from you are:

  • Identification particulars – such as your name, address, date of birth, occupation, telephone numbers and e-mail address.

Your personal information is only collected by lawful and fair means and will only be used for

the primary purposes for which it was collected.

I take all reasonable steps necessary to protect your personal information from loss or theft, either physical or electronically.

I only keep your personal information for as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was collected or as otherwise required by law.

I will take appropriate measures to destroy or permanently de-identity your personal information when I no longer need to retain it.

 

Document Recording and Storage

 Hard copies of all documentation will be held securely in locked files situated in a secure locked office within my home with no access by unauthorised persons.

All electronic documentation will be held on computers utilising access codes, passwords, fingerprint encryption, and all necessary protection needed for sensitive data such as firewalls, virus scanning software and hacker protection.

Once the documentation is no longer required to be held by myself, I will take appropriate measures to destroy or permanently de-identity your personal information.

 

Invoicing and Refunds

A Booking fee of $100 is to be made to secure your date, prior to lodgement of Notice of Intent to Marry.  This is a non-refundable deposit and also covers the Lodgement of Notice of Intent to Marry.

The full remaining balance is to be paid no later than 14 days prior to wedding day.

Fees are as follows:

Non-refundable Booking Fee - $100

Full Bespoke Wedding Ceremony Package, (including free initial consultation) Monday-Thursday $800  Friday-Sunday $950

The Intimate Ceremony (under 20 guests)  Monday - Thursday $450 Friday -Sunday $600

Baby Naming Ceremony $350

Celebration of Life $350

Vow Renewal and Commitment Ceremonies $350

Celebration of life and Ashes Scattering $350

Pet Memorial $150

Pet Wedding $150

Additional Wedding Rehearsals (extra to the one included) $50

Refunds will be made in the event of natural disasters or events causing community lockdown excluding booking fees, payable to person who made the initial payment. 

Cancelations

Fees will be refunded, (excluding the non-refundable booking fee) for cancellations made in writing no later than 14 days prior to the ceremony day.

In the event that I am unable to solemnise the marriage on the agreed day and I am not able to provide a substitute celebrant, a full refund will be made including booking deposits.

All fees are non-refundable once the marriage has been solemnised.  (After the ceremony.) 

 

Equipment maintenance and servicing

All my electrical equipment is tested and tagged annually by a qualified electrician in line with Australian health and safety regulations.  All equipment is to be checked, cleaned, sanitized and properly stored after each ceremony.
